YouBIM Implementation with full Work Order Management
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) was founded in 1952. It is the largest financial institution in Kuwait, and has branches and subsidiaries in China, Geneva, London, Paris, New York, and Singapore and a regional presence in Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Turkey, and the UAE.
Located on a prominent site in Kuwait City, the 300-metre-high headquarters tower for the National Bank of Kuwait will have a distinctive presence among the high-rise buildings of Sharq, the city’s growing financial district. The design, executed by Foster+Partners, combines structural innovation with a highly efficient passive form, shielding the offices from the extremes of Kuwait’s climate, where temperatures average 40 degrees in the summer months.
Along with Projects Kuwait, the YouBIM team was hired to implement YouBIM software, which is to be utilized fully in the Maintenance strategy. As YouBIM has a lightweight Work Order Management module, the software was pushed to the maximum, developing new features to support daily tasks of maintenance crews + preventive maintenance.
The technicians have incorporated into their workflow the seamless experience with the 3D BIM model, better preparing for each work order and understanding the building system’s in a holistic manner. They get to experience the benefits of incorporating BIM technology into operations first hand.
Working closely with the end client, the YouBIM product team developed a roadmap for the features that will fulfill the Bank’s needs and more, allowing for an absolute leverage of the BIM models delivered at the end of construction.
Being still on implementation stage, YouBIM team is in daily communication with the client’s maintenance and engineering team, troubleshooting and making this iconic project a successful BIM for FM project from all angles.
